iPhone 15 pro not charging in car or or airplane

I’m about to go back to my iPhone 13 if we can’t get this 15 to charge in a dang car

Something happen to me and there is no answer for it anywhere like wtf ready to go back to older iPhone

we are using the same cable (which doesn’t charge in the car) in a wall socket and it works

huge charging problem with iphone 15. how to fix it? the cable seems to work for other device but cannot connect with this 15 iphone.

Fully agree It’s really annoying alright. Very disappointed. It’s not the cord it’s just the phone. It worked for a day on CarPlay then just stopped. Power charges for 1 second and turns off.

None of the above is a fix for this problem. I have iPhone 15 pro. Same problem. Will not charge from usb in car. Not even with apple cable that came with phone. It will not charge from any portable charger either. Absolute joke. £1000 phone and doesn’t charge anywhere unless it’s plugged into mains voltage.

It’s getting aggravating enough that I might switch back to older model and sell this thing.

In the office or home wall socket it may be working - unplug it and plug it back in 3 minutes later and it doesn't charge, even if I use my Macbook Pro charging cords.

Don’t ask me why Apple hasn’t corrected the problem.

Having the same issue with our two IPhone 15’s. But one additional observation for us - it seems the phone will charge normally in the car (not go 1 second charge, 1 second no-charge, back to 1 second charge continuously) ONLY if the phone’s battery is somewhere above 50% charged (not sure about where the cutoff is exactly). If the phone had dropped in power to something in the 30% range (or less) - phone will not charge using car USB. If the phone is in a 60% (or more) state, it will charge in car. To me, this seems to be an Apple iOS or hardware issue and it would be nice if someone from Apple added useful information to this discussion.
