i bought brand new second gen airpods to replace worn out second generation airpods. new ones don't work with siri. I followed the previously posted instructions and that failed to work. If I reconnect the original pair, they work. (I "forgot" the original set to allow my phone to only find the new set. New set still doesn't work with Siri.

Yes. I followed every suggestion and step one by one all claiming that fixes the problem. But it didn’t. I suspect that the version of AirPods and the model iPhone are not compatible. But that’s why I’m here… to see if that’s the case. Or to find a solution. lol.

That's so odd. Your iPhone should work with your AirPods. I have an iPhone 12 Pro, which pairs perfectly with my AirPods.
