I’ve been trying to find a way to change the username used on the apple community forum. Not my Apple ID, but, the username used here.
is this something that is possible?
iPhone 15, iOS 17
I received an email that told me to email them with the name I wanted, but, they changed it to this “cruird81” that I don’t even recognize. Unsure if it’s part of the username change process or if it was an error
Please reply to that email with your intent.
It is important that the newly wanted username isn’t in use already (try: https://discussions.apple.com/profile/«username»).
Try supplying a short ordered list of acceptable possibilities else they may need to choose something for you, with a lot of emails back and forth, wasting everybody’s time.
Only the Hosts of this site can make such changes for the users. I have alerted them about your request. Expect an email from them.
The username and the alternatives that I sent are all available. Still ended up with this cruird81 name out of nowhere. A lil unsure what’s happening
