iPhone SE 2nd Generation Battery

My iPhone SE recently started giving me battery problems. There is a message that the battery needs to be serviced, but before that can happen, I need to do a backup. However I haven't been able to because the phone will turn on and off in the middle of the backup.

I have tried deleting things off, I will keep it connected to the charger, I will try the backup through my laptop and through the phone itself, but it keeps dying.

I considered replacing the battery, but there's always that chance everything could be lost in the process so I wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions before I give up.

Yes, it's constantly shutting off with or without the charger.

I understand that now. I can see most of my stuff on iCloud because I have other devices connected to my account so at this point, I could just manually transfer contacts and notes and things like that, but I guess I am just wondering what else will be lost without a latest backup.

Anything that was not already backed up or synced to iCloud could be lost in the process of having the battery replaced.

Warning: Do NOT attempt to replace the battery yourself or take it to an unauthorized service provider to have it replaced. Have it done by Apple or an authorized service provider.

So it's shutting off even when connected to power?

Bummer. This is why you should be backing up on a regular basis. You need to back up before something catastrophic goes wrong, not after.
