Screen Mirroring

Sometimes my Macbook does not show in the iPad's list of devices for screen mirroring. Both machines are connected to the same wifi network. I have restarted both machines.

Screen mirroring requires an Apple TV or similar device.

Sidecar is now available, but that may go in the opposite direction to what you’re seeking.

No. I have previously accomplished this. I could use my iPad as a remote camera to share on the Mac, through Zoom. So I was feeding video from the iPad to the Mac, then having it show up as a shared screen in Zoom.

On the iPad's Screen Mirroring list I saw the Apple TV listed, and the Macbook. But today I cannot make the Macbook register to the iPad.

Odd, because I can successfully transfer Airdrop documents.
