Mail Icon Not Showing in Notifications iPhone 12

I recently updated to iOS 15.4.1 on my iPhone 12 and attempted to adjust Mail banners/badges in the Settings menu under Notifications (Notification Style). To my surprise the blue Mail icon is missing. Also, when I tap the Mail icon in Settings I don’t have Notifications as an option under the “Allow Mail to Access” menu. I only have “Siri & Search” and “Cellular Data” as options. This is a Google mail account signed in from the default email app that is option at factory settings. I tried rebooting, signing out/in. No change. The email address shows up in the Accounts menu and Mail/Contacts/Calendars/Notes are all live. Any idea on what’s happening? Thank you.
