iPhone 15 Pro on/off button too sensitive

I have a new iPhone 15 Pro, but have discovered that the on off switch can be activated with a slightest touch. Even just positioning my thumb on the button without pushing can activate it and turn the phone on or off. My wife has the same phone and the same problem. Is there a way to adjust the button sensitivity on this device?
