I Have formatted my new Z-Slim to APFS. Using Logic command to relocate sound library to this Z-Slim. Several attempts. persistent error message after 20Gb transfer that Error: Content relocation could not be completed.
iMac 27″ 5K, macOS 13.6
Direct. Thunderbolt. USB C.
have re-formatted mac extended, restarted several times, problem persists but only with the Logic command to relocate the sound library.
no problems transferring anything else to this drive. Obviously a Logic issue.
OK, Sounds like the conection is good. What version of Logic are you using? And when you tried to relocate on several trys, did it work for a while then bring up the error, or is the error popping up right away after the first attempt?
Latest OS and Logic.
Gets to about 24Gb of 80 and quits with error ... can not complete ... 5 attempts with same result
Have read all the documents ... correctly followed protocol... no obvious reason for the error.... ext is formatted to Mac ext journaled but failed on other formatting as well .. ran fixes ... problem remains.....

How is your ext hard drive hooked up to your Mac. Are you connected directly or using a hub? If using a hub, is it powered?
try connecting directly to the Mac and see if that helps.
