Assistive Access shows blank screen

So, I want to try out Apple's new Assistive Access on my iPad, but when I enter Assistive Access, it just shows a blank screen after a few minutes. What does this mean?

To add apps to use in Assistive Access: see if you can:

exit Assistive Access:

triple-click the Home button (on an iPad with a Home button)

or the top button (on other iPad models),

tap Exit Assistive Access,

then enter the Assistive Access passcode.

More info: How to: Exit Assistive Access if it’s active.

Then to: "Add or remove apps for Assistive Access

  1. Go to Settings  > Accessibility > Assistive Access, then tap Manage Apps.
  2. Do any of the following:
    • Add an app: Tap  next to the app, then choose options for the app.
    • Remove an app: Tap  next to the app, then tap Remove.
    • Change the order of apps on the Home Screen: Touch and hold  next to an app, then move it to a new location in the list.

Important: Some features, such as app access permissions and privacy information, work differently in Assistive Access. See Understand certain differences in Assistive Access. "

Re: Assistive Access shows blank screen

Wondering if you still need to set-up Assistive Access.

Apple support have a video that may help:

When you enter Assistive Access:

To see and choose from the apps you set up to use with Assistive Access: you may need to tap "Start Using Assistive Access", then enter the Assistive Access passcode.

You may want to contact the Accessibility Team for help with using this feature:

See: How to contact Apple for accessibility support - Apple Support

or

I have a lot of apps to add to Assistive Access. I clicked on "Start Assistive Access" and entered my passcode, then it is stuck at the "Entering Assistive Access…" screen. I spent many hours waiting for the iPad to enter, and it is still not entering. After a few minutes the screen turned off, and when I click the home button or side button, the screen turned on and it still showed nothing on the screen.
