Anyway to change the "Continue Reading" shelf on Apple books BACK to showing the full cover?

With the IOS 17 update, Apple Books' Home page has made the books on my "Continue"/"Now Reading" Shelf tiny little thumbnails instead of the full cover. In lieu of the full cover, it shows me full-cover ads for suggested books. It feels like the app is more focused on getting me to buy books rather than read them, and I loved the old layout. The ads have gotten so irritating that I've disabled the Apple Books Store so it only shows books I'm reading and books I own.

I really miss the "Digital Nightstand" interface of Books in IOS. Is there any way I can get this back?
