Will Mathematica v12 run on a new Macintosh with M2 chips?
We are trying to decide on a computer purchase for a new faculty member and it might hinge upon whether Mathematica V12 will run on a newer Mac (with M2 chips, for instance).
Wolfram's site says that Mathematica 14.0 will run on Apple Silicon Macs running Monterey, Ventura, and Sonoma. If the requirement is for Mathematica, and not specifically for Mathematica 12.0, it sounds like you would be able to get this application for a M2- or M3-family Mac.
