Clicking desktop alias goes to basic hd menu -

Made alias of a folder which is stored on the HD. It use to open the folder when clicked, now it opens the base Harddrive menu - Public, Pictures. Music. Movies... Applications etc. How to make the alias go directly to the folder it represents?

I changed the view to 2 and it now works as a shortcut as it should
