I had this same problem, except my machine was discolored in the first few days. I tried 409 and Clorox bleach with little success.
I found that Non-acetone nail polish remover cleans it up nicely. Only problem, my fingers feel like sand paper after using it.
You should use clear, or blue colored Non-acetone nail polish remover. If you use another color it will slightly tint your MacBook that color. Do not use acetone based, or isopropyl alcohol, those may damage the plastic.

HOLY COW, I think this might be it guys! Upon reading this and looking around, I found my wife had a bottle of clear nail-polish remover. I said what the heck and tried it on her iBook, and voila! The stains are gone! You can compare the before and after shot to see for yourself.
Although this was for an iBook G4 (1GHz Model), I have a feeling that it will work on my MacBook if it starts to discolorate  Now, I can sleep at night.
Thank you for the tip (I'm sure my wife will be ecstatic so that you on her behalf as well)!!

I have none here, got my MacBook May 18th, and my serial is 4H618 (just so ya know) I haven't seen anyone mention this serial with a problem yet! But I sure hope there is a solution for you all and if it does occur!

does anybody tryied the "GS 27",that fixes scratches over your car?or,, you may try using any other car product,one of those which recover the color of your car.

Can anyone else confirm that the Nail Polish Remover works.

I want to be sure to point out that acetone based, or, isopropyl based nail polish mover will likely melt the plastic. Only use NON-ACETONE based nail polish remover. You'll likely damage your beautiful MacBook if you use acetone or isopropyl based chemicals.

Well, whaddaya know. I just grabbed the bottle and applied it and the stain started coming off immediately so just went ahead and cleaned it all.
Now that I actually look at the bottle, it IS acetone based. Well, at least it worked on the iBook and if it affected the plastic, I can't see it.
Just FYI, it is a Japanese nail polish remover, called "Joy Up EX nail polish remover #01 Clear", and it contains acetone, water, olive oil, isostearyl alcohol, sorbeth-60 tetraoleate, PPG-12-PEG-65 liquid lanolin, and oxybenzon-3.

Smokers do not sweat nicotine out of their pores, and it's colorless not yellow. The yellow discoloration could come from the tar emitted by burning tobacco though. I've seen a smoker's house that had yellow ceilings from years of heavy tar deposition, even though the ceiling was originally painted white.
How does your body get rid of nicotine? Here's the process:
About 80 percent of nicotine is broken down to cotinine by enzymes in your liver. Nicotine is also metabolized in your lungs to cotinine and nicotine oxide. Cotinine and other metabolites are excreted in your urine. Cotinine has a 24-hour half-life, so you can test whether or not someone has been smoking in the past day or two by screening his or her urine for cotinine.
The remaining nicotine is filtered from the blood by your kidneys and excreted in the urine.
