Nice increase and updates except VRAM
Also - anyone managed to get an XP video driver - I'm guessing Boot Camp will only work with Vista on these new ones - in which case its unfortunate that the basic VRAM isn't 256 - so I can't buy one yet on budget - drat.

you are incorrect
quote from new product page at the Apple Store:
MacBook Pro does Windows
Still hanging on to that old PC so you can run the occasional Windows-based application? Boot Camp lets you install and run Windows XP or Vista on your Intel-based Mac. Thanks to Boot Camp, your Mac is the only computer you’ll ever need.

I think that might be inaccurate - a google search for that driver yields many people getting info from NVidia that there are no drivers available for XP.
So conflicting messages...
Just have to wait I suppose to see if anyone has managed it.
XP is important to me so I can't buy unless I know - and I have more faith in enthusiasts in the trenches than marketing spin.

The following page claims to have a modified driver that supports the 8600M GT GPU for XP in the new Santa Rosa MBPs. Obviously I can't test it myself yet, but there are people using it with XP on other Santa Rosa-based laptops supposedly. Might want to give it a whirl, I know I will be.

Edit: Doesn't help much if I don't post the link, now does it?
