After I update today to 10.5.2, I cannot connect anymore to my WLAN-Router (Zyxel). This s**** network issues in Leopard is driving me mad.
Any solutions? (before the update, everything worked fine, and I can still access the router with my Powerbook running Tiger and with my PC)

Hi,
exactly the same problem here. My MBP sees the network but keeps on asking for the wpa passphrase which is correctly set. Haven't changed another thing besides updating to 10.5.2

I have the same problem. I can connect to my WiFi network no problem, but when I connect my ethernet cable I lose all connection to the internet, yet my router will assign an IP to the device via the ethernet line. When the cable is attached my Airport is constantly looking for a new network.

After updating to 10.5.2 I was having wireless connection problems. I tracked it down to a problem with 802.11 N compatibility. When this standard is enabled on my router (D-Link Dir625) I cannot connect. It shows as connected for a while but it keeps hunting for another network and will not allow internet functionality. When I drop the router back to 802.11 g only everything works fine. I'm going to try reinstalling from the Combo release and see if that makes any difference.

I have the same problem. Ethernet works fine, and my computer can see my neighbor's wireless network, but it can't see my own - and the router's 3 feet away.

This is the exact router that I have, and I have a 13 inch MacBook 2.0 Core 2 Duo, and this exact problem has affected me as well. It also caused my router to completely crash the wi-fi while the install was going down, causing my roommate's iBook's 802.11b connection to ALSO go down. Ouch. Rebooted the router, shifted it down to G after several reboots and attempts to blame the problem on my Parallels NAT interfaces (it seemed likely they were the problem since Little Snitch was saying that natd was actively trying to connect out). But nope, it turned out to be wireless N + 10.5.2 + DIR-625 that was the lethal combination.
Everyone who has this problem should contact Apple to let them know that the 10.5.2 update breaks Wireless N compatibility with the D-Link DIR-625. I can actually feel the difference in actual time because I transfer a lot of files over my LAN (via wifi from two laptops, a home server, etc etc etc).
Now I can't stream video wireless from my MythTV setup. cries and considers installing Ubuntu... which DOES work with Wireless N on this macbook

Same problem here. With 10.5.1 I lost the connection sometimes after rebooting or waking up from hibernate. Now, with 10.5.2 i cannot connect any more at all. SSID is hidden btw. Come on Apple, you can do better!!!

I just went back to 10.5.1 using Time Machine's system restore function. Everything works just fine now, as it did before. I'll wait for 10.5.3 or a major Airport update before messing around with 10.5.2 again. Whatever interface enhancements it offers are heavily outweighed by the wi-fi being disabled.

Hi, I just installed the update. WPA2 Personal authentication is definitely borked. Turning it off and going to an open network works. This is on a MacBook running 10.5.2 connecting to a D-Link router.
I am hoping for a patch pretty soon.

I couldn't get that far- my network is open with a hidden SSID and MAC address filtering, so there was no encryption of any sort getting in the way of my link... just was getting the "connection time out" message until I disabled Wireless-N on the router.
What router are you using at your location? You must be slightly more compatible than the DIR-625 is.

Hi, I have the same router. After posting above I was able to get it to do WPA2 Personal with 802.11g & 802.11b. If I up to 802.11n and WPA2 everything goes wonky.

I have the same kind of problems as everyone else that wrote here. I'm kind of new to this forum, but is somebody from Apple listening? Is someone from Apple going to respond to this? The purpose of these discussions can't be to air frustrations... One thing is sure, I'm never making another Downgrade from Vista to XP again. If I could afford to downgrade to Tiger, that's certainly what I would do because I've been plagued by internet connectivity problems ever since I ugraded to Leopard, on my iMac and MacBook. Most of the time, I have to use my old Titanium, that's still running Tiger to access the Internet. Not fun.

Hey Guys,
I had same trouble with 10.5.1 and 10.5.2:
Always annoying new login after restart or sleeping mode
After some research I dissabled the 802.1x login feature in the network preferences (in the more options... section)
happy now: IT WORK!!!
So as long you dont need the 802.1x feature (i.e. for public spaces) it should be fine!

Hmm, that's interesting, although on my system 802.1X is already disabled. So far nothing has resolved this for me yet, including enabling the broadcast of my SSID or enabling WPA2 (cannot keep my network on this setting since the other iBook in my house only has an original Airport card which doesn't support WPA2).
Still no word on this from Apple, I hope they are at least looking into it.
