When choosing Project Garageband freezes

I have some problems with Garageband. I.e when I try to choose Project in the LCD Garageband more or less freezes. Anybody had the same problem and a solution?
Macbook Pro 2.4GHz, 3Gb RAM 200Gb HD
Mac OS X (10.5.6)
Powerbook G4 Alu 1.5 Ghz and G4 Quicksilver 867MHz

Sorry I forgot to say: been there, done that =) + repair permissions. I think Garageband '09 have some strange bugs or issues with other plugins maybe as there is also a problem with downloading the extra loops getting the error "not proper signed" or something.

The error I get from the console is:
"19/04/2009 17:03:17 GarageBand39082 GarageBand: *** -NSCFDictionary setObject:forKey:: attempt to insert nil value (key: NSFont) "
&
"19/04/2009 17:03:20 kernel unknown SIGSEGV code 0 "

If in the console you get this error message :
12/06/09 16:21:56 GarageBand11565 GarageBand: *** -NSCFDictionary setObject:forKey:: attempt to insert nil value (key: NSFont)
You have to check that "Apple" fonts are activated in the Fontbook.app :
Apple Braille
Apple Chancery
Apple LiGothic
Apple LiSung
Apple Symbols
AppleGothic
AppleMyungjo
You don't even need to logout or restart your computer
There are required by Garageband to run properly.
