Creating a Raw File

I'm working on a project and the client is requesting the project to be delivered as a WMF (or a raw file). They also said a AVI will work. I have only exported QTM (using QT conversion) so I'm looking for advice on what the setting should be for an AVI. Basically, once they take my files the are going to re-encode them for Windows. I'm shooting DV/DVCPRO 25.

don't export directly as AVI, quicktime's AVI exporter is as buggy as an ant hill and will actually introduce extra repeated frames into the video causing jerky playback
what you can do is save your sequence by using Export > Quicktime Movie...
use Current Settings, and uncheck the "make self-contained movie" checkbox
this will export a reference movie
now, if you don't already have it, go download MPEG Streamclip
open the reference movie into MPEG Streamclip and choose File>Export To AVI
then in the AVI exporter settings window choose:
Compression: Apple DV/DVCPRO NTSC
Quality: 85% (or higher)
Sound: Uncompressed
Frame Size: 720 x 480 (DV-NTSC)
Field Dominance: Lower Field First
then press the Make AVI button
hope it helps
