Is there a way I can set the song list background to black or anything other than white? White is so harsh on the eyes.

Well, I figured out how to change the color of the text in the source list (for iTunes 6), but I can't figure out how to change the colors for the song list.
For anyone interested (and technically capable!), edit the file \Program Files\iTunes\iTunes.Resources\en.lproj\iTunesLocalized.qtr.
offset color
0x46AA red
0x46AC green
0x46AE blue
In addition, I figured out how to change the style of text for the source and song list. Change offset 0x46A5:
value style
00 plain
99 bold
BB bold italic
CC underline
DD bold underline
EE italic underline
FF bold underline italic

Nice work. Wish I was inclined to do that kind of detective work.
