Library Disappearance

Last week my iTunes library was fine and dandy and all of a sudden because of having looked for shared settings toggled, it found one of my roommates Limewire folder. After deselecting the looked for shared iTunes continued to work fine for the rest of the time I used it. The next time I opened iTunes it said my library was corrupted and prompted me to look for new artwork, now my original library, playlists, etc. is gone and when I plug in my iPod or V3i it says that the devices are synched with another library. Is there anyway to recover my library, I've tried reinstalling, importing the previous libraries.
