Connect iPaq to airport extreme

I've come across a HP iPaq (H6300) and am trying to connect it to my wireless network at home.
Has anyone managed to connect an iPaq to one of the new airport extreme base stations and if so how did they go about it, I've tried everything I can think of and it wont allow me to connect. What makes it worse is the fact that it wont tell me why, it just says "unavailable."
Any hints or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Ensure your AirPort Extreme (802.11n) Base Station is configured in a mode which your iPAQ supports both in terms of speed b/g/n and encryption, does your iPAQ support WPA or just WEP?

Tried all of that (have tried all possible configurations of the base station), still no luck getting it to run.

Can the iPAQ connect to another wireless network?
Is the wireless switched on, on the iPAQ?

Yup, it connects to my brothers network fine (just asks for a password), and it tries to connect to my neighbors as well (password protected).
