iPhone's Best "Case" Scenario (The quest for protection)

Many of us are trying to find that best case, so I thought this follow-up would be helpful.
I have owned the iSkin Revo case for iPhone for nearly 2 months (http://www.iskin.com/). Basically, the case has really worked great for me. It has 3 parts, the case, a non-glare/privacy film screen cover and a plastic screen protector that snaps on the front of the phone to protect it from heavier impacts.
- The case has really held up great and protected the phone well. It has stayed true to form and has not become stretched out. Unlike some other cases, dust and other particles have NOT scratched the bezel. I've dropped the phone only a couple times--once face down on my coffee table--and the sides of the case helped prevent the thing we worry about doing most: cracking the glass.
- I hesitated using the anti-glare film, but have gotten used to it and feel the minimal loss of resolution is worth the extra protection to the glass. I'm probably going to pull the film later this month and see what I like better.
- The plastic cover, while a great idea, is not really practical for me. Yes, it snaps off and can be placed on the back securely, but I end up leaving it behind. It's really just added bulk.
I'd like to read some follow-ups on some of the other cases people have purchased. Let's start a fresh thread with people's experiences. The ones I read here really helped me. Thanks for posting!

I really like my red incase case with the crystal screen protector. Have them put the screen protector on at the store, it is difficult. I love my case.
I also have a dock extender. It doesn't work because I don't have a universal docking station. Anyone have one I can use? Well, it's a good idea.

I've had Vaja cases for my previous smart phones, including Treo 600 Series and 700 Series. I just ordered one for my iPhone too. They are definitely a premium item, but they are made really well. They have a ton of different leather combos you can choose from, and everything is hand made. You can see them here:

I too have the iSkin Revo and I bought it after trying the incase rubber case, Leather incase case, the clear iSee and the belkin clear case. The revo is the best so far. Don't really care for the plastic cover either. No need for it, really, so i just don't use it.
I also find that i don't deal with all the dust, etc like i did with the incase rubber case.
The revo is a great choice-so i don't regret spending the $40 for it.
NOW, the case i'm waiting to come out is the Otterbox iPhone case. It is really cool looking and looks to cover the ports as well as the revo, the only difference is the piece covering the dock port is attached to the cover itself. Nice considering with the revo, i've lost (and eventually found) the dock port cover.

My assumption is that this case may be even pricier than the revo. But i like it and may add it to my iPhone case collection when it finally comes out.

I tried the iSkin Revo, took it out of the box, put it on my phone, and then immediately took it off, put it back in the box, and went online to find out how to return it.
I thought it was awful, way too bulky, it made the phone look like some space age rubber brick.
My phone is still naked, and loving every bit of it. I've had her since 07.05.2007 and not a scratch on her. She's happy, and so am I with her naked beauty, after all its only natural

I had one of the Incase rubber cases and stopped using it because of all the crud that would find its way into the case, and my iPhone is now a bit scuffed up because of it after only a couple of weeks.
I no longer use a case for it anymore. I think a large part of what makes the iPhone so great is how sleak and clean looking it is. I have it in my pocket most of the time, and make an effort not to put my keys or anything else in that particular pocket.
I do use the Incase Leather Folio clipped to my belt while I am at work to protect it from getting smashed in my pocket (part of my job is bumping into a lot of things, and leaning in ways that I worry would cause undue pressure on the phone).
I'm not a fan of any phone being worn on a belt, people act like its a fashion accessory. But while at work it is a practical way to keep my phone on me. I can't leave it in my car because it gets way too hot during the summer.
Outside of work however, I like my sleek, attractive, case-less iPhone.

Looks nice, I have a bulkier one to clip to my belt to keep it from getting crushed in my pocket at work. I've found I don't really need a case outside of work... It makes it difficult to slide in and out of pockets. I'm just VERY careful not to drop it! haha

I have only bought one case. It's made by Monaco, and I don't think I'll buy another until this one gives out. It's my very own iPhone vault. It's got a plastic screen cover, and another that covers that for extra protection. I'm not taking any chances with my investment. Yes it's bulky, but I carry it in my bag most of the time. Also the belt clip is easily removable, or addable. In fact it comes with it off, but it easily screws into the back of the case.
On small thing about it I find sometimes annoying is the second cover. It takes a bit of getting used to when making calls. You have to hold it, and it doesn't fold neatly to the back. Could be a problem if you've got smaller hands. Although after it's had time to wear in, it does fold down very close.

That looks like a nice case, but I would be worried that the iPhone would fall out or get banged up since it offers no protection. Why not just put it in your pocket?

I went back and forth on what case to use. I went with the one from Shield Zone. It seems have held up very well, covers the iPhone, and does not adversly effect the touch screen (although it is not as smooth).

The advantage was that I am very comfortable throwing it in my pocket with anything else. Has anyone gone with NO cover and found that the screen has held up - scratch free?

I use case-mate's leather flip case:
http://www.case-mate.com/phones/apple/iphoneflip
Very thin and elegant. Protects the screen and flips open for direct access.
Also has an optional belt holster.

I use one of those crystal films that you can buy at the apple store, and that is the only protection on my screen full time. You can't even tell its there, and it holds up great.
Be careful when applying it though, I ruined the first one before I could even put it on. It got too much lint on it.
