I have a new Chrysler vehicle with the MyGig radio in it.. Every iPhone I have tried to connect to the U-Connect feature has a strange quirk.. it pairs just fine it will even voice dial and whatnot but as soon as the phone starts to ring who you are calling the U-Connect and the iPhone disconnect.. any ideas?
Please Apple Fix this issue. Between the $400 phone and the $1800 radio I am not a happy camper right now.

My father has a 2006 Chrysler 300 and the iphone works great with UConnect but I have a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the MyGig system and I am having the same problem that others have mentioned. I have also had some other gliches with the MyGig not related to the iphone, so I am guessing that it is the MyGig causing the problem.

the iphone and treo use different bluetooth profiles, the "language" that devices use to communicate. find out what the profile is for your headunit, and i'd imagine we can find out the "quirk"

I called Uconnect as I'm having the same problem with the MyGig in my wifes new Chrysler 2008 Town & Country. I was told by the operator at UConnect that they have LOTS of problems with Iphone and uconnect and it "Isn't a very good phone for Uconnect"
She had no knowledge of any attempts being made to rectify the problem. I'd like to bug apple about it, but in my opinion, Apple has proven themselves to be unwilling to work with other companies. I'm pretty p.o.ed to be honest. Here we are with a $600 Iphone that got dropped by two hundred dollars two months later, the simplest bluetooth head phones and connection devices don't work with it, you have to pay to turn your ipod music into ringtones, you can't can't view flash (flash!!!) on the internet, no voice dialing, etc etc etc. For all of it's GREAT features in regards to the ipod portion and the photo viewer, the phone itself is a hunking piece of crap that i CONSTANTLY lose my signal on.

I'd sell it if I were you and get something that Chrysler says is compatible with your Uconnect and MyGig.
Incidentally, I read where after all the complaints about Audi compatibility issues Audi came out and said they were going to have to make changes on their end.
And Apple has worked with a lot of companies to make sure that iPods are compatible, starting with BMW. So could you provide an example of "Apple has proven themselves to be unwilling to work with other companies"?

I got the update directly from Harmon Becker today.. I posted it here. Download the file below, unzip it, copy the files to a CD or Clean USB Jump Drive and follow the directions that pop up on the screen.. iPhone problem is fixed!

Be sure to burn the disc at a low speed setting so it burns completely and use a decent name brand disc.

Fred, Hope this gets to you. I have a 2006 Chrysler 300 but cannot get the UConnect to sync up. I had a Motorola Razor before and it worked fine. Is there something that I am not doing with the Bluetooth set up from Chrysler...if so any idea how to get at it and sync to the iPhone.
Thanks for your time.

I tried it on a new '08 Durango. CD seemed to burn ok but when I placed it in the MyGig it just "played" as if it were a CD, with some hissing. Nothing happened otherwise. Does anyone else have another site for the download of the update or some other info? Any help appreciated.
