There is a howardforums.com thread about this. Sprint has done something that makes you have to hack the metaclasses.plist file.
Look for the linked file and instructions provided by rmarquez here: http://tinyurl.com/2aa7hx

I also just got a Motorola KRZR K1 phone (from Rogers here in Canada), having been encouraged by its appearance on Apple's list of iSync supported devices. Set-up with iSync went flawlessly but the initial sync only transferred my Calendar and not, sadly, my Address Book contacts. (This seems to be the opposite of what some other folks have reported.) Then, when I tried to re-sync, it wouldn't do it. BTW, I'm running iSync 2.4 and OS X 10.4.10.
Any ideas out there? I've read the other posts but can't find these specific problems discussed.

The above fix is for the KRZR K1m. I don't know of any fix for the KRZR K1 phones that are acting up.

I just found a solution for my KRZR K1. I'm running iSync 2.4 with OS 10.4.10.
I went to http://www.jeffcraven.com/archives/2006/10/motorola_krzr_k.html
Here are the directions from that site:
In the Finder, right-click on the iSync application and choose Show Package Contents.
Drill down to the following:
Contents -> Plugins -> ApplePhoneConduit.syncdevice -> Contents -> Plugins -> PhoneModelsSync.phoneplugin -> Contents -> Resources. The file you need to edit is "MetaClasses.plist". Make a backup copy of your original, and replace it with my edited version here(http://www.jeffcraven.com/images/MetaClasses.plist.zip), along with the .tiff file. Restart iSync and you should be ready to go.
A big thanks to Elbert Cuenca, for providing the icon, it looks great!
**Note this only works on the GSM version of the KRZR K1, not the Verizon or Alltel CDMA versions.**
If that doesn't work, try what I did. (His directions didn't work for me, so I put the file in a different folder):
Drill down to the following:
Contents -> Plugins -> ApplePhoneConduit.syncdevice -> Contents -> Plugins -> Motorola-K1.phoneplugin -> Contents -> Resources.
Hope that helps!

Thanks for the tip! Awesome. This has been broken for me since I got my K1 about a year ago. I'd tried the jeffcraven.com tip but it hadn't worked. After replacing the MetaClasses.plist in the Contents -> Plugins -> ApplePhoneConduit.syncdevice -> Contents -> Plugins -> Motorola-K1.phoneplugin -> Contents -> Resources location it was a synch(!).
Cheers
George

None of that works for me. I've got the Red Rogers KRZR K1 I think. Anyhow, when I scan for the device, it doesn't even show up at all. Bluetooth explorer finds it just fine, but iSync can't seem to detect it when I try to add a device.

Oops, apparently I'm wrong. Mac just isn't all that easy to use. You have to go into the bluetooth system preferences first. Pretty non-intuitive. Oh well.

Hi There,
DgoPoww's intervention solved my issue with my KRZR K1 I just bought from Fido in Canada. Unfortunately, the calendar part isn't supported, but contacts is better than nothing at all!
I wish we had the iPhone already!

I have the Silver KRZR from Rogers here in Canada and I managed to hack the MetaClasses file so it works! I will post a link to my file below, and also tell you how I made the change.
My file is here: MetaClasses.plist
Do this to make it work:
1. Quit iSync
2. Go to: /Applications/iSync.app/Contents/PlugIns/ApplePhoneConduit.syncdevice/Contents/PlugIns/Motorola-K1.phoneplugin/Contents/Resources
3. Replace the MetaClasses.plist with the one I linked to above
4. Restart iSync - it should work with the phone now.
Again, I have the silver KRZR, so this might not work for you specifically if you have a different one. If it doesn't, here is how you can hack on the MetaClasses.plist file.
1. Connect your phone to your computer with Bluetooth or USB (I used Bluetooth)
2. Open up iSync
3. Try to add a device, and scan for devices. It should come back with your phone and a message saying it is not supported.
4. Quit iSync
5. Open up /Applications/Utilities/Console
6. View the console.log, scroll to the bottom
7. You're looking for some text like this:
Bluetooth Device Info Summary:
svc/maj/min class: 721 / 2 / 1
manufacturer: AT+CGMI
+CGMI: "Motorola CE, Copyright 2000"
OK
model number: AT+CGMM
+CGMM: "GSM900","GSM1800","GSM1900","GSM850","MODEL=K1/s"
OK
You're looking for the two strings there ("Motorola CE, Copyright 2000", "GSM900","GSM1800","GSM1900","GSM850","MODEL=K1/s") Note the model number at the end of the second string. This is your phone's Model Number and is how iSync will identify it.
8. Go to: /Applications/iSync.app/Contents/PlugIns/ApplePhoneConduit.syncdevice/Contents/PlugIns/Motorola-K1.phoneplugin/Contents/Resources and make a backup of the MetaClasses.plist file
9. Open the MetaClasses.plist file in a text editor
10. Copy everything from <key>com.motorola.K1</key> (line 5) to </dict> (line 34) and paste it immediately below (you can look at my file for an example here). What we're doing is making another type of KRZR K1 subtype. We will be editing this text we just pasted in the steps that follow:
11. Change the <key> line 35 to have your phone Model number instead of K1. My model number is K1/S, so my key line reads: <key>com.motorola.K1/S</key>
12. Change the <string> line 40 to have your gmi+gmm values, which we found in the console log above in step 7. They are probably exactly the same except for the MODEL part at the end.
13. Change the model number in the <string> line 60 to be your model number which we found above. Mine is K1/S, so my line 60 reads: <string>K1/s</string>
14. Save the file and restart iSync
15 Your phone should show up as supported now.
I hope this helps. I have not tried to sync calendars, but Address Book seems to work fine.
