iTunes keeps restarting on quit

I haven't been able to find any reference to a problem I am experiencing with iTunes 7.4 (and now 7.4.1).
iTunes restarts automatically about 30s to 1 minute after I stop it.
Has anyone experienced something like this before ?

I'm having the same problem all of a sudden when I had no problems before yesterday. But I have no iTunes widgets. What changed? What to do?

I was having a whole host of problems including iTunes continually opening after I had hit quit, but I ended up just shutting it down (the whole computer) and let it chill for 10 minutes and I haven't had a problem since.
See if this works, otherwise, call apple....

If you're running any widgets or third-party apps that in any way remotely access info from iTunes, that's probably it. If you have any such items, I would disable them.

I had this problem until I started Activity Monitor, looked at My Processes, and quit the half-dozen or so processes called "genredetection".

I agree with Wundorsmith. Look at this for macupdate.com
"Latest version of iWow (2.0.2.255) has a process called "genredetection." If iTunes 7.5 (in Leopard) quits unexpectedly, the genredetection process doesn't quit and forces iTunes to automatically relaunch and spawns a second genredetection process. Here is where the problem starts. Now, whenever you try and quit iTunes normally, either via command key or file menu, the genredetection process continue to force iTunes to relaunch and continues to respawn new processes of itself. At this point, iTunes becomes practically un-quitable. You now have to go into the Activity Monitor application and force quit all the "genredetection" processes that have spawned and only then can you actually quit iTunes. I consider this a serious bug. Seeing as how we all know SRS's support is non-existent, we'll see if this ever gets fixed."
You can disable SRS WOW to be able to quit itunes until srslabs.com find a fix for this.

Yeah I second this.
I quit the genredetection processes, and iTunes quit no problem. I just ended up deleting iWow. I never used it anyways...
