Weird Mouse Pointer

I noticed that in any application with text in it so that the mouse pointer changes between the select text icon and the regular pointer, if the changes are made quickly, an ugly larger mouse pointer appears under the regular arrow pointer. Has anyone else noticed this?

Same problem... but I noticed that it only happens on mozilla applications... like firefox or thunderbird. Is it the same with you?

I still have not received any responses, except additional complaints.
I have not noticed it being limited to just Mozilla apps, but I will pay attention more closely to it. I have also had a big black circle when the mouse changes to the rainbow pinwheel.

I have same problem. I did some googling and there seems to be some talk about a "black beach ball of death" that Mozilla uses. I hadn't associated it with FireFox but it could be possible. Could this be what we are seeing? When it happens, I only get a flash of it, so to me it just looks like a fat black shiny blob. Blob - beach ball. Could be the same thing right?

when it says there are 2 helpful answers and 1 solved answer, it means the person who posted still has points he can give out. he can only award two helpful replies and one solution. a solution gets more points than a helpful answer.

Woops never mind. The black beach ball in Mozilla is different. Now that I have paid attention, I've seen my black blob-pointer also in Microsoft Word. Any opinions?

Same thing here, move mouse fast and small pointer turns into fat pointer. I never noticed this on my old MacBook, just on the new 2.4Ghz one that I am using with Leopard. So I don't know if it is new hardware related or OS version related.
Any help from Apple much appreciated if they read these forums.

please someone help me out with this issue. It is so annoying, it is happening frequently, and it is kinda becoming distracting. I thought I was the only one who had an issue with this, Im glad im not the only one. But a solution would be nice!!!

I'm also experiencing this on a new macbook, as well as the following:
http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=7212337#7212337
Has anyone else here upgraded their own RAM? Does anyone else's iSight status light come on at startup and not going off until shut down?
I've been experiencing these symptoms since purchasing the MacBook about a month ago. I've not upgraded to 10.5.3 yet.
