when you say "show all" do you mean 'show package contents'? What are 'blanks', do you mean empty folders? please clarify. thanks.

I haven't tried yet, but I mean while in iPhoto, on the left sidebar. I will go to (I can't remember right now) Library or All Photos or something like that. I will see if I can try tonight.

Finally!! Thank you. To clarify, open iPhoto, select Library (on the left side of the screen)and view your photos one at a time (I have 2500) and delete any photo that appears as a blank with a slashed border around it. Et voila. Then open Front Row and it WORKS Yay. Thanks rpmdesigns.

Sorry about not giving you the 'solved' star. I read rpmdesigns yesterday after not looking at the whole string.

Finally for me too!
I went to iPhoto and selected Library > Photos and slowly scrolled through all few thousand pictures.
Sure enough, there were at least four or five that were "blanks" and only showed up as a dotted-line white frame around nothing but black.
I deleted these and now, going to Front Row > Photos brings up my photos the way it should even in iPhoto is not running. Yay!

Ditto! Deleting "blank" photos works for me as well. Thank you for the help.

Musahi88's solution worked for me. I clicked on 'Events' in the library, and found and deleted a 'blank' event, which had no photos in it. After that, Front Row could see my photos!
Now, if only Front Row for OS X 10.5 Leopard was as good as Front Row for 10.4 was!
