Strange Alias in Trash.

I am having a problem with the Trash. About a week, week-and-a-half ago, I was using Finder, Photoshop, Safari, Dictionary, and Stickies. I had about 3 or 4 Finder windows open and I think, if I remember correctly I sent some photos to the Trash, then using the keyboard short-cut, {command+option+delete} emptied the Trash. However during this action, about 10 other things went horribly wrong. Photoshop crashed, then Finder crashed when I told it to accesses my iDisk, then Safari stopped working and all the tabs closed. I mean my computer was having a Hart Attack, Brain Seizure, Explosive Lung Disorder, and Spontaneous Face Exploding Syndrome; all at once. So I tried to Force Quite everything, and only Photoshop closed. So then I tried to Relaunch Finder, that didn't work. So after about 10 minutes of screaming at the computer, I decided to hard reset using the power button... It was at that point that I realized that the "Deleting Items From Trash" dialog was still running, it hadn't deleted any of the files yet. Then the computer shutdown, I pressed the power button again and the computer took about thirteen minutes to start up. For a moment I thought I had a "White Screen Of Death." But I know how mac works, so I just left it run, and finally the blue screen came up, the little spinning wheel came up for about 5 minutes, then finally the LogIn screen started. I logged in and let everything start up, and all of it started fine. Then I open the Trash and saw that every file was still there, so I clicked the "Empty" button and, BAM! Everything emptied the way I expected it too. So I continued working on what I was before the crash and nothing was going wrong. Then I noticed that the Trash icon had not updated, it still showed stuff in the Trash. I opened the Trash and found a strange file in the Trash.
It is called: \\\ō .
Finder says:
Kind: Alias
Size on Disk: Zero KB on Disk'
Created: --
Modified: --
Last Opened: Fetching... (It just hangs)
The font used to display the name is not the standard font. It appears to be 4-bit font, used back in the day when Apple Computer only had Green monitors.
Whenever I tell the Trash to empty, it removes everything but that strange file. If I try to drag the file out of the Trash it disappears till the next time I delete something. If I try to open the file, or "Get Info." I see a window shoot out from the icon and then it flies past my dock on the left side of my desktop then off of the screen. It is not on any Space, I have tried, "Collecting Windows." I have tried two monitors, one that I have always used, and another, larger one I have never used. I have tried to move the multiple monitors all around. Still I cannot find that Info Window and I cannot make that File go away.
As far as I have seen, it is not malicious, other then the fact that it is annoying the **** out of me. I thought I could live with it there in the Trash, en' perpetual. But it has finally gotten to the point I can't stand it anymore.
Oh also, I have tried "Secure Empty Trash." That didn't help.
Any suggestions, short of "Reformat" would be nice. If I can't get ride of it besides reformatting, then, Thank God For Time Machine!
Thanks again for any help!

this actually looks like a windows file. do you have bootcamp? If so, boot into windows and run CheckDisk.

I'm having the exact same issue! I've not found a solution yet. I do know doing a "get info" on it causes the alias to disappear immediately, but it always come back on re-boot. I'm only having this issues on my MBP 2.2

Solved the problem! Some more digging around in the discussions here found the solution. I'll paraphrase how I solved my problem here:
Its apparently a file in Windows that uses unallowed file names. The only way to fix this is through Windows "chkdsk" utility.
1. Boot into Windows
2. Click on "My Computer"
3. Get "Properties" on your C: drive
4. Click "Tools"
5. Click "Error-Checking" and enable the box for "Automatically fix errors"
6. Click apply.. and Windows will need to re-boot and "schedule" a disk-check on next reboot. Be sure to hold down your "Option" key during reboot (if you are running your Windows through Boot Camp). Re-boot into Windows
7. Disk Check will automatically run and you'll see an error in ".\.Trashes\501" It will automatically fix this.
8. When its all done, Windows will automatically reboot normally.
9. Reboot back into OS X and that strange alias will be gone!
