Smart Playlist - Unchecked Items?
Posted: Jun 30, 2008 7:59 PM

I have a 30gb iPod Video and my music/podcast collection is over 42gb. I have a smart playlist that only includes checked items, and have the option set to only sync checked items. Just realized I have about 2gb available space on my iPod, so I'd like to go back through all the unchecked items. I don't see any way to sort the iTunes list by checked/unchecked, or any way to create a smart playlist of only unchecked items.

Am I missing some obvious way of doing this?

If you are using a smart playlist, just set it to the size you want.
No need to uncheck items.

The only time I uncheck things is for items I never or rarely want on the iPod such as old audiobooks and Christmas music.

Solved

Make Playlist 1 that includes everything but is set to "Match only checked items." Playlist 2 has the rule "Playlist" "is not" "Playlist 1."
