Yellow tint on iPhone 3G Screen

I just purchased a new iPhone 3G this morning. I took it home and when i compare the screen of my old iPhone to my new iPhone, I can see a horrible yellow tint on the iPhone 3G screen. Can this be replaced?

I dont know but when I compared my iPhone to a friends mine was yellow too! Any ideas guys?

I think its faulty. A lot of people are actually stating that the new screens are a lot more crisp and brighter. Obviously not the case with ours. The price of being an early adoptor I guess?

Tried to get through to O2 but they did not answer. I'm going to my Apple Store tomorrow. I might go out an check the demo units in the store to compare as well.

Yep, mine is warmer compared to my 1st gen but much brighter at the same setting.

I've seen mention of this elsewhere on the net; the yellowish tint appears to be a software misconfiguration and eventually adjusts itself back to the right color.

I noticed the same thing also on my new 3G phone - right from the start it didn't look quite right. Got it home and compared it side by side iwth my 'old' iphone and there is definately a yellow tint to the screen and it does not appear as bright and crisp as my old phone still does - after a full year of use.

What a terrible day I got to my local Apple Store at 8AM and waited inline for 9 hrs! Just to buy a lemon! Apple is selling lemons not juicy apples but lemon tinted LCD screens that is so yellow it looks like someone took a p*ss on it. I am so upset. Is this covered under the warranty?

Mine has a yellow tint as well. I'll hold off for a few days and see if it's software or hardware.......

Yellow tint was the first thing I noticed, this has been going on for a while now, I bought a 16GB a few months ago, and got it home just to be disappointed by the YELLOW screen. I took it back and got another one hoping it would be better, but it wasn't. I called Apple and complained. I took it back also. I was hoping the new ones would not exhibit this problem. I went to the AT&T store this morning and looked at the three on display and they all were YELLOW also. I walked out and will keep my old 8Gb. The screen on it is fantastic!! Apple really needs to address this issue and step up and fix this problem. Very Disappointed!!!!!!!!! Also the speakerphone was not any louder from what I could tell and this was my biggest gripe with the original.
