Thanks for help.

You need to purchase a USB 2.0 PCI card which is listed as being compatible with your computer. The built-in ports aren't upgradable on any Mac.

"Is there any particular brand which I need to buy for USB 2.0 PCI Card ?"

When purchasing a USB 2.0 card, the particular brand selected can make a difference (as has often been reported in these Forums). I've had good luck with the IOGEAR 2-port USB 2.0 PCI card in multiple Macs. It retails for $20 at most PC stores. The IOGEAR 5-port USB 2.0 PCI card provides 4 external ports and 1 internal. It retails for about $30. I recently purchased the ADS Technologies 5-port USB 2.0 PCI card, because it was sale-priced at $13 - but more importantly, it has the NEC controller chip. The IOGEAR 5-port card that I linked also does, but I'm not certain about their 2-port card. Many Forum users have reported better success with NEC chip-based USB 2.0 cards in their Macs, than similar cards having a VIA, OPTi, or other brand controller chip. Because many companies marketing the cards paste their corporate logo sticker over the face of the controller chip, you don't always know what you're getting. With the ADS Technologies card that I most recently purchased, that wasn't the case. The NEC name was clearly visible on the face of the chip. You can find one of these cards from any computer (PC) retailer - you don't need to limit your search to Mac-oriented merchants.

A USB 2.0 PCI card is what you need. Best bet is any card with a NEC PD720100 or PD720101 chipset (xlr8yourmac results recommend the same). Read this for more feedback: http://www.xlr8yourmac.com/firewire/fw_usb_card_deep_sleep.html
Stick with the NEC chip, and try NOT to use drivers, Tiger doesn't need the drivers.

All of these Cards are NEC chipset based
Adaptec 3100LP
BAFO BF-460
Belkin F5U220
GWC UC-160
IOGear GIC250U & GIC251U
Keyspan U2PCI-5
O'toLink U2-C2A, U2-C2B, U2-P20N & U2-P50
Ratoc PCIU5
USBWholesale UII-PCIP

I have an IOGear GIC251U in my G4. Was plun n'play.

I am very surprised that dealer didn't really help much. Just get a USB 2.0 card and pop it in there! Voila! You will then have USB 2.0 with all the trimmings associated with it!

interesting.
I have a
Machine Name: Power Mac G4 (AGP graphics)
Machine Model: PowerMac3,1
CPU Type: PowerPC G4 (3.3)
Number Of CPUs: 1
CPU Speed: 1.2 GHz
L2 Cache (per CPU): 256 KB
L3 Cache (per CPU): 2 MB
Memory: 2 GB
Bus Speed: 100 MHz
Boot ROM Version: 4.2.8f1

I have tried the iogear GUF320 and have all kinds of problems.

I have a firewire card
firewire:

Type: ieee1394
Bus: PCI
Slot: SLOT-B
Vendor ID: 0x11c1
Device ID: 0x5811
Subsystem Vendor ID: 0x11c1
Subsystem ID: 0x5811
Revision ID: 0x0061

in now and things are o.k.
but when I put the iogear card in that place I get wiggy results. like all the built in ports (firewire and usb) do not work. only the card.
?????????????????????????????????????????????????????
so I am still "usb2"less.
