Regardless of whether anyone else has experienced this, make an appointment at the Genius Bar - http://apple.com/retail/geniusbar .

Never heard of that. Sorry for your loss. Take it back. Or take it back to apple.

Just to add it probably has a heat sensor to cut it off if it gets too hot. Have you tried using the USB in the CPU or a reset by pressing the power and home button for 10 secs until the ape logo appears ? Just a thought.

WOW... a heat sensor. That's great. Thanks for the reset info. At least the screen came back on. I hope I didn't damage the phone.

Thanks!

That's ok. I hope it works. I am not 100 % on the heat sensor but I imagine it would have an auto cut off as a safety feature in case it got too hot when charging and wouldn't burn your house down. > HGCx wrote:

That's a good point about the heat sensor. It's quite hot in FL today and it would be possible that the phone got too hot.

Thanks. That means a lot coming from you. Admittedly I didn't know it was so hot in Florida but from what the OP describes the heat sensor is the first thing that came to mind. It would make sense. I really hope it's ok for him . > Tamara wrote:

I hope it's okay too. Right now, the "feels like" temp where I am is 108F.

Wow that makes me wish I was on holiday there again. That's nice. I am at a BBQ in a jacket and cold. Think of me while you sun tan. Lol. > Tamara wrote:
