Does anyone know if the latest and greatest AirPort Extreme (802.11n) supports Jumbo Frames?
Many thanks.

It appears to, I set my iMac to 1000 mbps, 9000 byte MTU and it's been working fine transferring large files, plugged directly into the AEBS.

Cool, many thanks.
You'd think that a Co. that is as marketing savvy as Apple would mention that.... at least in the specs if nowhere else.

That sounds promising, but has anyone looked at the traffic passing under WireShark or Ethereal to make sure it's actually using 9000 bytes?
I saw recently that tech specs for the switch controller seem to indicate it handles jumbo frames but still no real confirmation that the functionality is actually enabled. Thanks.

This article claims jumbo frames is not supported on the Airport Extreme (802.11n):

I found the article above while trying to diagnose problems I am having using the gigabit ethernet switch with jumbo frames enabled between a quad G5 and a ReadyNAS NV+.
I hope Apple updates the Extreme to fully support JF.

I had the same problem when connecting my G5 Powermac to a ReadyNas, using Jumbo frames and a new Gigabit Airport Extreme.
It just fails to write data to the ReadyNas in that configuration.
Putting both the ReadyNas and the G5 on my old Gigabit switch works fine though.
It could be related to the ReadyNas using 7936 byte MTU Frames, instead of the more common 9000.
