Lots of posts here...
Navigate to:
HD/Library/Application Support/iDVD/Themes and remove themes iDVD1 - iDVD4 (5-7 are ok to leave)
USER/Library/Application Support/iDVD/Installed Themes... and remove the themes folder completely.
Should work after that.
Good luck,

I am having the same problem. I have deleted all files in the paths you mention and it did not help.
And a Zero KB Library/Application Support/iDVD/Installed Themes/iDVD 1/901 Portfolio.theme is recreated immediately.
Do you have any other tips?
Thanks

Inspired by your instructions and remembering that if you choose Custom Install for iLife'08, there is an iDVD option to install all the iDVD 1 thru 4 themes, I deleted all the themes and installed themes, and rerun the installer, selecting the install old iDVD themes option, and now every thing is fine.
If I think back, I may have chosen this option on my G5 Dual 2.0 and it has work perfectly right from the start... nary a hiccup...
Thanks for the help! I finally got my ALL my apps run after fighting with GB, iDVD and iMovie. If any one else is having problems with these apps, just follow my posts. I eventually found fixes for ALL the apps.
I am a happy camper again..... except for iMovie'08.... what were they thinking??? Zero audio control. How the Heck are you suppose to fade out a song in iMovie now.... Export to GB and reimport into iMovie?!! Give me a break!!
I do Love the new themes to iDVD'08, and it did not loose any functionality! There is nothing I couldn't do in iDVD06 that I can't do in iDVD'08. Can't say the same about iMovie'08. I guess that is why the left iMovie HD untouched so that you can use them concurrently.
