I had Parallels 3.0 installed along side Boot Camp 1.4 beta, using the same partition (Vista Ultimate) -- both Parallels and Boot Camp worked fine.
After performing a Leopard upgrade neither the Parallels Vista nor the Boot Camp Vista worked.
Wiped the Boot Camp partition, uninstalled Parallels and re-installed Boot Camp/Vista; works fine. Haven't tried to reinstall Parallels yet. Also haven't tried to re-activate Vista -- afraid of what I will discover -- bet I'll be on hold with MS for a while (when it doesn't activate).

I'm seeing similar behavior. When running Parallels it will start then stop at a DOS prompt with an error loading some file. (ie. HDD appears corrupt)

However I can still use Boot Camp so the image seems to be alright. This is after updating Boot Camp XP with new drivers.

Prior to updating the drivers I was able to start Parallels and boot into Windows XP, however it would complain about MacFUSE and networking wouldn't work.

Key words from that above link is 'should work'. It does not work correctly.

From Parallels forum, they admit it is broken and will be fixed 'soon'. So no real timetable

Well I took the plunge last night and did my upgrade, and so far everything is working fine, including Parallels booting my bootcamp partition. I've had a few hangs / crashes so I expect them to be fixed soon by Parallels, but all in all I'm pretty impressed with the Leopard upgrade process.

There are some threads on the Parallels web site as well. Looks like some issues, but someone from Parallels says they are working on an update. No timeline on release date, but sounded like it has their attention.

for me too except Windows disk doesn't appear on Mac Desktop (there is a message about some "time limit" to be increased to mount the file system).
Other than that, everything works.

So far I'm not too impressed with my Leopard experience. There are several programs that are not compatible and I'm waiting for updates on these. As for Parallels, it acts rather strange. I am unable to use internet and the C: Windows HD does not mount to the OS X desktop. I contacted Parallels and they responded with the following:

This is the official Parallels position on Leopard.
http://parallelsvirtualization.blogspot.com/2007/10/parallels-desktop-leopard.html

We are going to release a special free update compatible with Mac 10.5.

They recommended I uninstall and then reinstall Parallels to hopefully get it working a little better, but since I can run some basic programs for now, I'm going to wait for the free update. So it's really a question of how much you use Windows programs, and if you don't mind a few things acting up until the update is released. Haven't used Boot Camp yet.

Just to let you know my experience. I have just installed Leopard on my father's iMac who is using Parallels 2 to run windows XP. Post install of Leopard Parallels worked fine, well that is to say it booted and his favourite app that he uses it for worked.

I'm running Parallels 3 on my MacBookPro but I have not installed Leopard onto that yet, I will report back my findings later.

Parallels 3.0 working properly under Leopard
Posted: Oct 28, 2007 9:56 AM   in response to: FlatDog

After installing Leopard, Parallels would not run - I forget the error message. I downloaded the latest (again and for which I am licensed) and re-installed. That went quickly and smoothly. I launched Parallels and found that everything was working properly. All my Windows apps seemed to be functioning properly.
