Summary: Leopard Address Book missing Bluetooth phone support for SMS etc.

I just searched the discussions for the topic and found so many threads about it, so thought summarising what has been brought up for those who wondering what's going on:

1. Apple removed the Bluetooth phone integration of Address Book application since 10.5 (Leopard).
  • With Bluetooth-enabled phones, the Address Book on 10.4 you can dial and receive calls, send and receive SMS, and upload contacts as vCards. On 10.5, we simply cannot do any of those.

2. Anyone who has a say to Apple should use Apple's feedback page: http://www.apple.com/feedback/macosx.html
  • Not on this Apple Discussions forum! This forum is meant for "addressing technical issues about Apple products" only, not "feedback or feature requests" to Apple.

3. It's confusing but Apple still advertise this feature on their MacBook website (http://www.apple.com/macbook/wireless.html). The feature is present on MacBook only if Mac OS X 10.4 is installed.

Just an update: the 10.5.2 update did not revive this feature despite some previous speculation.
