Ensure you have downloaded/updated to iTunes 7.6

Then you have to update the iPod to software version 1.1.3

after that you can sync and install the new apps

I had the same problems. I also have the solutions but its a bit painful.

Basically you have to RESTORE to factory settings. Rename the iPodTouch and then 'boom' the apps are all working.

Annoying and you have to resync/copy all music back on.. but it then works...

Do you sync your music to your Touch manually? Try unchecking the box for 'Sync Manually', let it sync and there's a good chance the new apps will appear. It worked for me.

I had the same problem. You have to hit 'Check For Updates' in iTunes, when the iPod's connected. Hope this helps.

This is true, but that's the only help I could offer at the moment. Sorry. I've had to manually add parts of my library. Minor headache.

Major headache if you're using the touch on USB 1.1 -- a music library restore takes all day!

In either case we need a better way to install this software than nuking the music library!

Um, USB 1.1 is NOT supported!
Look at the specs.

Specs or no, the touch works with USB 1.1. This problem is not related to USB 1.1 -- it's a bug in iTunes presumably.

Solutions, please. Nuking the music library is not a solution!
