Installed iTunes 7.6... ok
Installed 1.1.3 Update on my Touch... ok
Bought January Update for my Touch... error, no Download
Synced my Touch... nothing happens
iTunes sayed I should reset and resync my iPod Touch. Done, but did not helped.
Have you any ideas to solve my problem?
On my iTunes Account, I can see clearly, that I bought the Upgrade (EUR 17,99). How can I download the file?

I'm pretty sure they have disabled the "buy" link for now, there must be problems with it downloading.

I had the same problem. I closed out iTunes, disconnected my touch, reopened iTunes, reconnected my touch, and then it worked. Good luck.

I was so frustrated that I went through the process of trying to download twice more, only to realize that iTunes charged me for two more downloads. I expected to get home yesterday, download the firmware/iTunes upgrade/January update and mess with the new apps that evening, and yet here it is, the next morning, and I've got nothing to show for my 19.99 x 3 downloads + tax....

@ givinupthefight--Exactly.
@ matty--Go to your iTunes account page, click Report a Problem, and choose Duplicate Purchase.

Finally, I reached a German support via phone! boah
They know from this problem - btw sorry for my bad English!!
They´re working on a fix. It will be released a.s.a.p. No more infos. Most of the iPod Touch and (even more) iPhone users have big update problems, the supporter said.
@givinupthefight
I did exakt the same 4 or 5 times. But it doesn´t fix my problem. The upgrade was not downloaded!! It is NOT on my PC, and iTuns won´t download it again.

The same problem here.
Reconnecting etc. did not work for me.
It won't even dowload.
Does nothing.
However: the creditcard WAS charged.
Thanks for nothing Apple. They had better come up with a solution because I feel very disappointed.

I had the exact same problem with this new January upgrade.
I upgraded to the latest Itunes 7.6. Upgraded my firmware to 1.1.3 on my ipod touch. Paid the $19.99 to get the software. And they snyc. My personal music/video/picts sync'd up beautifully. BUT, no new apps....nothing. I downloaded again (big mistake.... you get charged every time). I think after the 5th download I'm up to $100 for this stupid thing. I am reporting to itunes the multiple charges and bug.
The best thing to do guys is report this in to Apple support and wait for them to fix it. They are usually better than this. They should fire the validation guys or put some heat on them. This is a black eye and they STILL HAVEN'T PLACED A NOTICE ON THEIR WEBSITE!! Restarting Itunes and my ipod touch have not worked.

I also tried downloading installing the apps 3x's and was charged 3x's yesterday with no success. After that, I was able to contact the support group by email regarding this and received an email later last night stating my account would be credited back. I received credit for 2 of the attempts and now waiting patiently for my app that I was charged for.

Same problem here. ... updated iTunes, bought the $20 January upgrade, then nothing. It shows up in my purchase history and I was charged the $20, but nothing else happened - I did the resync as the instructions outlined but nothing changed. I reported the problem last night but haven't heard from Apple yet.

I think I got the download, as I can see it in my user library. It's a 12 kB file, but when I try to pull it over into my iPod in tunes, it doesn't work. It says that the file won't work on the selected iPod. I'm updated to firmware 1.1.3 and I have iTunes 7.6. I CAN'T purchase the file multiple times, as the application download page keeps telling me to upgrade and sync my iPod. I already did that...

But they don't appear. That's the problem. I paid $20 for the upgrade, synched my ipod, and it's exactly the same as before. No new apps.
