10.5.2 NO WIRELESS!

Having issues connecting to internet. No authentication failures are occurring, it says connected with IP such and such.
I use a Dlink N router. When plugging in the ethernet cable im fine.
It seems there are more of you with this problem.

I discovered the same problem with my DIR-625 router, and had to disable N on the router's webadmin via ethernet, reboot the router and then operate in Wireless G mode instead in order to get my wireless back. I hope this gets fixed.

That sounds like my router too. My network diagnosis tool says that all is normal, but I can't open any web pages. Is this a particular brand driver issue or a broader issue with the Macbook?

I too am having very serious wireless problems after updating this afternoon but I can still connect - just poorly.
I have two wireless access points - Linksys Wireless-N and a Netgear Wireless-G.
I can connect to my Linksys but only get internet access when the level bar hits the second one, but can't connect to my Netgear one. At all. And yes it is working, I can connect with any other laptop including my iBook G4 with 10.4.11.

I am having the same problems, I have a Westell unit. The ethernet works just fine, and the other laptop in the house is fine and connected via wireless, but my MBP can't connect via wireless since the 10.5.2 update. Please help.

I have recently upgraded to a new machine with Leopard installed and find that my whizzy wi-fi connection has slowed to a crawl - all my other machines, including my iPhone are fine so the router is working fine.
Once I pop the ethernet cable in it is back up to full speed - is this an issue with Leopard or new model Macbooks as my older Macbook (running Tiger) is not having the same problems.

You don't mention when you have the issues, nor which model router you use, but you will find a list of compatible routers here: Back to My Mac: Supported router devices (Mac OS X 10.5)
What specific problem do you have?

I'm right there with you all. I'm going to chalk it up to Apple wanting more money. I couldn't get connected after the update at all when I was at home. I have a Belkin Pre-N wireless router. I reset the router, restored the router, restarted the mac about 100 times, turned the airport on and off, deleted all remembered networks, deleted the locations, anything you can think of and nothing worked last night.
I come to work, and we have an Apple router, and I connected immediately. When I'm home, I have a full signal and I even have an IP address, but nothing will load online. If I do get through online, I can open 1 page, before the airport starts scanning again and I'm disconnected.
I teach online classes, while I'm at home, so I can't live without my connection. Looks like I have to go buy an Airport tonight after work so I can teach my class tonight. It's very frustrating.

hi, try to cancel the "N" feature connection from your router to "G". it worked for others, hope will work for you too. also make sure your connection is not WEP encription, change it to open and then try with WPA to have security.

Argh, I am having the same issue, but my iPhone can connect perfectly. After the upgrade I cannot connect to my wireless router at all. I choose my wireless network from the drop down list of available networks, select it, and then the wireless icon in my taskbar at the top highlights blue and then does nothing.
The router is a westell, I can get the specific model but it is the one commonly used with verizon internet access. I've gone into the router and tried resetting the DHCP, making the DHCP range longer and nothing has worked. The funny thing is, in the private LAN settings it does detect my machine and has an IP assigned to it but I cannot connect. By the way I am using OPEN WEP access.
So what is this "N" setting and where can I find it?

I am having the same issues with my Macbook Pro running 10.5.2 using 802.11N networking. I can connect to the wireless airport extreme, and surf the internet without issues. My biggest issues arise when I try to copy files or play movies over the LAN. All local traffic will eventually cease.
In the meantime I have downgraded the airport extreme to 802.11b/g and this has solved my issues for the time being. I hope there is a fix soon.

At first I couldn't connect at all, then I turned off Appletalk and am connected, but it is SLOW. My Macbook running Tiger and iPhone are fine. Help Apple!

Ditto this -- westell, Open WEP security, tried b, b/g, g only settings. Always a timeout on connection to a visible access point after update to 10.5.2. MBP works fine at work (not sure of the type of access points we have here though).

same router and same problem here. Even with wireless G my connection is painfully slow, it is faster for me to connect to my neighbors open access point.
