Default Adjustment Names
Posted: Feb 14, 2008 7:24 PM

as many know there is a "hack" to the AdjustmentDefaults.plist that allows us to customize our adjustment 'bricks' in the inspector ...

http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=3266554&#3266554

some of the keys are:

RKRedEyeOperation (Red Eye)
RKStraightenCropOperation (Straighten)
RKCropOperation (Crop)
RKDustRemovalOperation (Spot and Patch)
RKChannelMixerOperation (Monochrome Mixer)
RKNoiseReductionOperation (Noise Reduction)
RKSharpenOperation (Sharpen)

i am looking for the keys for Retouch, Devignette, and Vignette ... any enterprising takers ???

many thanks to Jacob Lauemøller who originally posted the thread: "Howto: Make Edge Sharpen etc. part of the default HUD" on Oct 3, 2006 ...

RKVignetteOperation
RKDevignetteOperation
RKRetouchOperation

very simple ...

They're the ones Steve - there're a few others in the list (including one that looks like a misspelling!), but they don't seem to add/remove tools from the HUD so I guess they may be sub sections of some of the bricks. Anyone worked out the ones for monochrome mixer and sepia yet.. I've tried the CIxxxx variants but they don't work :(

BTW, it seems that if you make a brick a 'default' item in the HUD then you can't remove it using the 'remove selected adjustment' function in the HUD - you can only turn the effect on or off.

I have installed steebow's list of adjustments and all appear in the adjustment HUD but the mono channel mixer does not work. I have tried putting it in a different place but still no joy. Replacing the original plist files solves it......? Any ideas?

Its beyond me why this isn't a function in Aperture 2 via preferences. Come on Apple! No one uses the same tools, but we all have favorites, and if they are not there by default we use a lot of time to enable them for each picture.
