Updating to Latest iTunes Error

Hi folks,
I'm just trying to run Software Update to update to the latest version of iTunes but every time I try to do it I get the following error (after it finishes downloading the 40mb file):
The update "iTunes" can't be installed.
A network error has occurred: Cannot open file (-3001). Make sure you can connect to the Internet, then try again.
Any advice would be appreciated, obviously I can indeed connect to the internet and am connected when attempting the update.
MacBook
Mac OS X (10.5.1)
iBook (Mac OS X 10.4.11) - iMac (Mac OS X 10.3.x)

It may be network congestion either on your end (your ISP), somewhere on the internet, or Apple's server. Right now these boards seem "sticky" so it may be a server problem.
I would try later, or download the update directly from the Apple website:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Dual G5, MacBookPro 15, MacBookPro3,1 17 Core2Duo
Mac OS X (10.5.2)
Vista Ultimate 64-bit on MBP/17", homebrew 3GHz PC, Dell Inspiron8k

I just downloaded it manually as suggested. I knew that was a possibility but was afraid it was some odd glitch with 10.5 so I thought I'd ask before resorting to the download.
Thanks for the help.
