iChat: How do I delete the Recent Buddies group?
Posted: Mar 14, 2008 2:13 PM

I want to make the Recent Buddies group GO AWAY. As in Permanently.

I have de-selected "Add new buddies I chat with to "Recent Buddies" under iChat->Preferences.

It went away, but then came back about 5 minutes later.

Under "Edit Groups" it is not listed, so I cannot delete it.

Help!

Solved

Hi

Have you tried right/ctrl-clicking the group name & selecting Delete Group?

Nope, I hadn't. And that seems to have worked. Thanks!

Hi,

Make sure All Buddies are dragged out of this group and into another group before Deleting it as it will hide those Buddies almost permanently.
