iphone does not show up in iTunes after Leaopard upgrade
Posted: Mar 22, 2008 5:42 PM

Well... upgrade went well but now my iPhone does not show up in iTunes after installing Leopard. When I plug the iPhone, iPhoto opens up and loads my iPhone pics but iTunes does nothing. Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks!

Try this:

1. Unplug iPhone from computer.

2. Close iTunes.

3. Reset iPhone. (Hold sleep and Home button down for 10 seconds)

4. Plug iPhone into computer.

5. Open iTunes if it doesn't open by itself.

Same here, except I just bought an iPhone. iTunes will not recognize it. When connecting to the dock, the phone blinks on, displays the screen with the dock and arrow pointing to iTunes, then goes black.

Prior to leopard upgrade, I plugged in my i phone,it appeared in i tunes and synched...So I think it is Leopard problem. Also wifi network no longer recognized, I reset each login. Frustrated! Any Ideas? Until Leopard, both worked. Thanks, Vicki

I tried the steps but the iPhone still doesn't show up in iTunes. BTW, I'm using the latest version of Leopard and the latest iPhone update.

This is how I finally solved the problem, too. Even though my iTunes info indicated that it was the latest version, I finally decided to give that final step a try. I downloaded iTunes and installed it. Worked like a charm.
