MobileMe Cal - Custom Repeat Events Incorrect

Since MobileMe Customer Service only know how to Copy/Paste scripted stuff into emails, I thought I'd come here for help.
I have some Repeat Events I've created, one every four months on the first Monday and another every three months on the third Monday.
In iCal and my iPhone, the events show up correct.
On the MobileMe Site version of iCal however, they show up EVERY MONTH.
I've tried explaining this via email to their customer service (or lack of it) but they now only send back scripted responses, the same one every time.
This is what they send me each time and when I reply with the details of the problem, I get the exact same response back.
Dear Customer,
We apologize that it took a little while to respond to you. As a result of the
overwhelming interest in MobileMe, the MobileMe Support team is receiving
higher volumes of email than normal.
We see that you classified your request as "MobileMe Calendar" and "Publishing
and Sharing". We have some articles that address those topics, and we hope you
will find the articles helpful. If they don¹t help you to resolve the issue you
contacted us about, please don¹t hesitate to reply to this email with
additional details so that we can assist you further.
Blah, blah, blah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi,
I'm having the exact same problem...I create a recurring event for every other month and it shows up every month on mobileme - Shows up correctly on phone and ical though. Also, my US Holidays subscription on ical does not show up on mobileme, but does on the phone.
Anyone out there have any ideas???
At the rate they are going the service should be free until they get the bugs worked out...
Thanks...

Me Too!
Setting a repeat event for every-other month on Desktop iCal causes the MobileMe calendar to display the event every month.
Deleting the unwanted repeat event from MobileMe offers "this event" or "all events." If all events is selected...you guessed it, Desktop iCal loses all of the repeats for that event.

I have the same problem setting up an event biweekly. MobileMe Calendar sets up the next event immediately the week after and THEN continues every two weeks. Even if I set it up using iCal on my mac (which does create the repeat event correctly), MobileMe Calender will repeat the mistake once again as soon as I sync. So frustrating...
C'mon Apple, PLEASE fix and continue to update MobileMe! ASAP!
Otherwise, what's the point? Sticking with Gmail in the meantime.

Same for me - but a little bit more complex:
I have several events in either a 2-week or a 4-week schedule. Sometimes the schedules have to be broken for specific events meaning a specific event takes place one day earlier or later, which is no problem in iCal: you just have to move the specific event with your mouse the the desired day.
After finetuning all events in iCal as necessary everything looks great, but only in iCal:
in MobileMe calendar on the web the repeated events are either correct and or shifted by one week into the future without a recognizable schema: it is a complete mess and you cannot trust what you see on the web...
Resetting sync data and overwriting MobileMe calendar with the correct iCal data from my Mac has no visible effect: I guess the data is correct in MobileMe, but the MobileMe calendar GUI messes it up.

Any custom recurring event I place in iCal is skewed when it gets to me.com. Also my 10% of lost mail from the original me.com melt down is 100% of my inbox from 7/18 though 7/26.
Remember folks we are paying for this lack service.

Yup, I have a similar problem. A repeating event set up in iCal for the 1st and 15th of every month shows up correctly in iCal on all synced machines, but in the MobileMe online calendar, it shows up on the 15th and 29th. If I open the event details online, it shows the correct info. Whoever programmed this mess needs to be taken out and shot.

In the me.com Calendar, recurring events for August appear in September when I go forward to the next month. If I keep going forward and then move back to September the mistakes disappear. For the last two days I have not been able to advance the Calendar past September. I noticed that some events are overwritten on the screen as well. I have the same problem in Safari and Firefox.

If I enter an event to repeat every 2 weeks, it works fine (and syncs OK) on the iPhone and the Macs, but on mobileme it repeats after 1 week and then every 2 weeks, so most of the entries are out of phase by a week. it doesn't matter whether the event was entered directly into mobileme or synced from a Mac or iPhone.

Well I'm kicking myself for not checking here first.
I've got the same problem with some biweekly events, not all of them. I haven't been able to isolate what is different between them. Some show up the way they do in iCal and on the iPhone. Others are off by one week.
A complicating factor is that I'm syncing between Lotus Notes (of all things) and Google with Companion link.
Then using Busy Sync to sync between Google and iCal. Then letting MobileMe handle the rest.
It had been working almost flawlessly until I got dups of everything in Google which were then propagated. Cleaned them out and resync'd and that's when MobileMe calendar started acting weird.
I had thought it was something with either BusySync or Companion Link, but I couldn't figure out how it was getting to the iPhone correctly.
Although this is not a guarantee that I'm not going crazy, at least its some comfort

Well I've spent a few hours chatting with Apple support and have gone through several iterations of testing. In brief, here are the scenarios that were tried and the results.
First I disabled all other computers and phones from syncing with MobileMe Calendar.
I then changed my sync settings to only sync Calendar (This was my choice as I didn't want other information being scattered about in any other accounts.)
The first scenario was to try syncing the calendar to a new MobileMe test account that the Apple Support Rep had set up for this test. Sync worked perfectly all the recurring appointments showed up on the correct days.
The next scenario was to setup a test user account on my computer. Within that user account I then created a number of different calendar entries with different custom repeat scenarios such as every 2 weeks, every 3 weeks, every 3rd day, etc. We then synced the test user account on my computer with my official account on MobileMe. I used the month view in iCal and MobileME to quickly verify that all entries synced with the same frequency. Everything looked fine.
The next scenario I had to take offline with support due to time constraints on my part. This was to export my iCal data from my official user account on my computer. This was then restored into iCal using the test user account on my computer. The third step was to sync this with my official MobileMe account. The result had the same errors for the custom repeat events as I originally had.
Prior to getting off the line with support I asked what the various outcomes would indicate. If this last scenario worked it most likely pointed to a local problem with the user account or O/S on my computer. If the results were not ok, (which is what happened) it seems as though there is a problem with the data.
Keep in mind that the data continues to be correct when it syncs to the iPhone or other computers.
The saga continues. I'll try to reactivate this chat session when Apple is back online. It seems like getting a new MobileMe account may solve the problem, but what a pain that would be unless I could use my current account as an email alias for the new one.
Cheers.

Frank,
I was able to correspond with Apple via email, and even sent them copies of screen shots, and a backup copy of my iCal data.
FWIW, the MobileMe web application displayed my errant repeat event incorrectly on three different Macintosh computers and two different Windows computers.
After numerous attempts of deleting the recalcitrant event, creating a new event, and resetting MobileMe, I suspended my troubleshooting efforts. The problem persisted for about one week following my last follow-up to Apple. It was resolved after what I assumed to be a fix for the web application was instituted by the MobileMe Team, and continues to function without error.
Good Luck.
