How to have it keep playing podcasts one after the other, automatically?

This may be a stupid question... I have a bunch of podcasts on my iPod. I find that when listening (through the "Podcasts" menu on the iPod, not a separate playlist I made myself), when one is finished, it stops and I have to pick it up and ask it to start the next one. How do I get it to just keep going (one after the other)?

I just create a playlist, and use that route. Other than that, I'm not sure.

Helpful

If you have the iPod set to shuffle songs or shuffle albums , then Podcasts will play one at a time. I'm not joking! The display will show 1 of 1.

Set shuffle off and Podcasts will play one after another. The display will show 1 of x (number of episodes) or 2 of x etc. Make sure you use the menu settings to change this, because selecting/unselecting shuffle from within a song will not change this.

I know it doesn't make sense, but try it. By the way, this is for Classic iPods, other iPods treat Podcasts in a different way.

I think the video iPod only ever plays one at a time. I've just this minute tried to make my video iPod play continuously, but have not managed it. I prefer playing one at a time, partly due to them being in reverse order on the iPod itself. In other words, new first, then playing the older ones afterwards. There have been several "complaints" about the playing order!

... and yes, I own both!

Are you (by any chance) saying that you have a video iPod, not a Classic? ;)

I see. Thanks for the info! At least now I know I'm not just missing a simple menu setting somewhere.

actually I have both :-) I have a Classic in my car, and a video one for travel. Both have the same issue but since it turns out they handle this differently, I wanted to know if the workaround posted for the Classic might have a counterpart in the video one... Thanks again!
