But did it fix the reported problems?
1. Lack of Bluetooth support for many devices that previously worked
2. Email hangs
3. Slow launch of Contacts
4. Short battery life
5. Applications crashing the phone
6. etc

no problems updated and all seems smoother and more stable...

Thanks for the update. Did you restore with the new version, or simply use the upgrade option (didn't need to resync music, pics, etc)?

My iPhone bricked as soon as I updated to 2.0.1 and updated some applications (AIM, etc).
I have to restore (again). I think I'll set it up as a new iPhone.
Has anyone performed an Update to 2.0.1 without setting up as a new phone?

I used the upgrade option and didn't need to reload anything at the end. However, as a test I did run a restore after updating to 2.0.1 and it took like 3 hours which is crazy long, however it worked in the end.
So it appears backups are now faster but restores are slower. I can live with that.

I guess I'm lucky - the update went on without a problem and I've been using the phone all day on 2.0.1... it's fine.

Now it's working again ..took a long time to start up the Bluetooth capability for the first time after the upgrade.
Now - having done 3 phone restarts, and having -w-a-i-t-e-d- for two minutes for B/t to start itself up, it works, and recognises and Pairs devices really rapidly.
(..And thanks to Apple Tech Help for talking me through this, by the way..)
