Network issues?
Posted: Sep 3, 2008 5:38 AM

Good morning.

My iPhone 3G won't get my email, update weather or connect to the internet this morning. I can still make/receive calls. Anyone know if there is a network issue this morning?

Thanks.

It looks like the problem is pretty widespread.

Same here in NJ. Interestingly enough however, my company is heavy with blackberrys, and some are effected and cant do anything, and others are fine. Im using edge on my BB right now and getting out to the net, but my iPhone right next to it... nadda. Buddy's BB shows no Edge available..

I really hope they fix this. I am going to request a credit to my account for the horrible service this thing has had for the past month and I dont care who gives it to me, ATT or Apple, but Im going to get something. And I love my iPhone, Im giving it another month and if this isnt resolved I am going to have to forcibly break my contract and get rid of the iPhone for something that actually works. Please, fix this. I love my iPhone! But I need functionality.

Data is completely down in NYC (3G and EDGE) because AT&T's network is a piece of garbage.

Everyone, call 611 and complain and demand service credits. I've gotten $25 out of them so far.

The only way they're going to fix these issues is if their profit margin is threatened with higher support costs.

I want to know what APPLE is going to do about this mess. I have been ATT since 1994 and never had any probs like this. I converted to the iphone from a Treo... my Treo was 1000x more reliable for data. APPLE what are going to do?

How is it Apple's fault?

You add one million plus data hungry phones to a network in a month or so, a network that clearly can't support it, and the network fails.

Same Problem,

No Data

Not on 3G

Not on Edge

My co workers and girlfriend are in the same boat as well.

I'm in eastern PA, 1 hour north of Philly.
