Uknown error 13213
Posted: Sep 9, 2008 4:10 PM

Itunes and ipod just updated (itunes 8 / ipod touch 2.1). When syncing I receive a message stating "The ipod cannot be updated. An unknown error has occurred (13213)." I am now unable to sync my ipod touch after the update.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem and if so have you resolved it?
Here we go again, hopefully this is resolved soon!

Same problem. Wasted a lot of time restoring device, checking files for corruption, changing USB ports, etc, all to no avail. Occurs with all types of files (Audio, Video, Apps, Other). Once error pop-up is dismissed, sync continues for a few minutes, then another error pop-up. Sync will eventually successfully complete but the error pop-up keeps appearing as long as the device is connected (whether syncing or not).

i reset the ipod by holding down power and home while disconnected and it still throws the error. the strange thing is that it shows the sync still occurring.

I am getting this error every 5 to 10 seconds while reuploading everything up to my iPod. It syncs, but this is getting old, fast.

Hey,

Does this happen when syncing a specific thing? like mail, contacts, calendars, music, or videos?

Try syncing just contacts and then add one more data group at a time until you see the error.

Exactly same thing happening here. Sigh, I'm so tired of Apple releasing nothing but buggy crap this year... (Mobile Me refugee here...)
