itunes/iphone app update problems

since the last couple of days i have the following problem:
the updateof some apps (shazam) was first visible on both my iphones, but the next day it disappeared. the same with itunes: it was not visible. today the sme with touchgrind: visible on my iphones but not visible in itunes.
is this problem caused bu apple's ?

today, again a update of flick fishing (1.2.1) available on my iphone but not in itunes........

Same problem here for me in germany. When I "buy" the updates the iTunes Store is aware of the fact that I've already bought the app and I can download and install the new version without a problem.

Same here. All of the updates are available on iPhone but iTunes just keeps on insisting that no new updates are available. I think the problem really started with latest iTunes app upgrade. Apple needs to fix this!

i am really upset about this. today again no updates available on both my 2 iphones (2.2) and in itunes. (8.0.2)
yet i found out at : http://appshopper.com/updates updates are available for stanza, x-plane, equivalence, air sharing, tap tap revenge and ocarina.
as the updates are also not known to my iphones, i guess it is not a itunes problem but perhaps a itunes account problem......... ?

Ok...so I solved my own problem...I hope.
1. First I restored the software on my iPhone through iTunes, but that didnt work.
2. Then I went back to Apple and re-installed iTunes and it worked!
MacBook Pro, a bunch of minis, a G5, G4, G3 LC 475,2 vid iPods and 1 wet iphone
Mac OS X (10.5.4)
and 1 French roast marinated Blackberry Pearl

interesting, but the fact that the updates are not visible on my iphone has nothing to do with itunes app, but with some server with my app details.
so i don't think it that in my case it makes a difference when i re-install itunes

I have the same problem with the Itunes Store in Germany. The updates are showing on the iphone but not in itunes. Since 5 or 7 days.I hope there will be a fix soon.
And i see i am not alone with this problem.

I too am having the same issue.
Recently I noticed an update to an application appear on my iPhone. I didn't update right away and noticed that after a day or two the update badge had vanished. I checked iTunes on my Mac and it said there were no updates available.
A few days later however the update for the original app appeared again so I proceeded to update however iTunes still said there were no updates available. I have had 9 or 10 apps update not on the iPhone but iTunes still says everything is up to date.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes, deleted the iTunes plist file, logged out and back in to my ITunes account - no dice. iTunes still fails to detect that there are updates.
The apps that are downloaded onto the phone copy back to the Mac just fine however it's still missing updates.
I hope this is fixed soon as it appears to be more than just a problem with my account.

an hour later - after the updates are done on the 3g - the very same updates are not displayed on my iphone 2g.
i hope apple read this as it drives me crazy
