Pages '09 Sends Info to ad.doubleclick.net?

I run Little Snitch so I'm always alerted when an application attempts to make an outbound connection. When I just launched Pages '09 for the first time, I got the usual notifications that it wanted to connect to Apple's servers via port 80.
After a couple of those, it popped up with a message that Pages '09 wanted to connect to "ad.doublelick.net". Why?!? It's making an outbound connection so I can only assume it is trying to send data to doubleclick.net. What data and why?
Obviously I blocked it but I still want to know why.
Anyone know?

PS: doubleclick.net is an Internet advertising company. The reason this is disturbing is that "phoning home" to an ad company and sending who knows what data could be considered spyware/adware.

I noticed that as well but didn't pay too much attention to who it was, just that it wasn't Apple, and I blocked it too.

Do you have any plug-ins or add-ons with your Pages? I ask because I have a new install of Pages '09 (didn't have '08) on this computer and the only things Little Snitch reported for me was stuff it was sending to Apple. You will occasionally see stuff being sent to some places, Akami is one IIRC, but they contract for server/storage for Apple. I haven't seen anything for Apple being sent to ad.doubleclick.net before.

No, I do not have any plug-ins or add-ons for Pages. I know a couple of people with Little Snitch who are going to install iWork soon, so I'll be interested to see if they get the doubleclick connection attempt.
Update:
I just got an e-mail from one of them and they did get the doubleclick connection attempt when launching Pages '09.

I just received a message from another person I know with Little Snitch installed. They said Pages'09 attempted to connect to ad.doubleclick.net when they first launched it.

A little packet sniffing showed that Pages is connecting to <http://www.apple.com/welcomescreen/iwork09/pages/>.
I turned off Safari's All TCP connections on port 80 rule, then in Safari, I removed all doubleclick cookies.
Finally, I loaded that same welcome page, and Safari also tried to connect to ad.doublelick.net, after a few apple connections. So, it looks to me like this is something to do with the welcome page itself, and not specifically iWork.
It's still a little disturbing that the welcome pages somehow refer to doubleclick, but at least it's not the applications themselves doing it.

Thanks for the detective work.
I tried the same approach and it tried to connect to doubleclick.net when I launched the Welcome screen.
I then repeated the process two more times and there were no attempts to connect to doubleclick.
And, my very first time yesterday, I had no attempt to connect to doubleclick.
All very strange. Especially as I despise doubleclick.

Is it possible they have been hijacked by doubleclick?

Well, there is an issue here. Does this article clarify things for anyone? I bought mine online from Apple so I assume I am not at risk. I hope?

I believe the doublick issue is something entirely different. I and all the people I know with the doubleclick problem have installed it from discs we purchased from Apple. The Trojan adds a new package to iWork and most likely, when it "phones home", it won't be phoning home to doubleclick.net.
