Flash Player won't download

Hello,
Just got my iPhone. Wow! Pretty impressive. I went to Vimeo to play a video I have posted on the site. The prompt on my phone says I need to install Flash Player 10. I follow the links and start the download which seems to get half way done. Then the prompt comes up saying "Safari cannot download this file"...
Is there a specific Flash player for the iPhone and if so, can anyone please give me the link for it.
Much thanks in advance.
Mark

You can't download and install anything on the iPhone from a website or from a received email except for photos. This is probably for security reasons more than anything, and there isn't a compatible Flash plugin for Safari at the present time anyway. If/when Adobe provides a compatible Flash plugin for Safari that meets Apple's approval, more than likely it will be included with a firmware update with the iPhone provided by Apple, and if not, it will be an optional download and install made available via the iTunes app store.

Allan,
Thanks for the timely reply. So there's no way to view videos posted up on a site like Vimeo on the iPhone?

You're welcome.

Some web sites offer videos in H264 (in addition to flash) so that they can be viewed on iPhone.
